Qnami ProteusQ Delivered to Lab of Prof. Vincent Jacques at University of Montpellier!

It isn’t too late for 2020 news, is it?  We hope not!  In December we delivered the third Qnami ProteusQ of 2020 to Professor Vincent Jacques, a prolific publisher and scientist in the field of quantum sensing and spintronics, from the Charles Coulomb Lab at the University of Montpellier.  Moreover, this was the first delivery conducted together with our distribution partner Horiba Scientific.  We look forward to many more in 2021!

Professor Jacques’ research spans the hot topics of multiferroics, antiferromagnets and skyrmions, to name a few examples, with deep expertise in the field of scanning NV magnetometry. He and his team have been users of our Quantilever MX probes for years, citing them in high-level publications including:

  1. Antiferromagnetic textures in BiFeO3 controlled by strain and electric field’, Nature Communications 11, 1704 (2020).
  2. Electric and antiferromagnetic chiral textures at multiferroic domain walls’, Nature Materials 19, 386–390 (2020).

Professor Jacques is widely respected as a world-wide pioneer in the field of Scanning NV Magnetometry.  After working with his lab-built system for several years, Professor Jacques chose to purchase a Qnami ProteusQ because of its stability and ease of use, which allows to expand the field of applications of scanning-NV magnetometry.  “We are excited to see the additional research that will come from our lab using our new Qnami ProteusQ microscope,” stated Professor Jacques.
