Unconvetional flexomagnetism in chromium oxide thin films

Antiferromagnetic insulators such as Chromium Oxide are optimal candidates for spintronics, spin superfluidity, magnonics, and non-volatile data storage development. Exploiting magneto-mechanical coupling in antiferromagnets would offer advantages in the control and manipulation of their order parameter. And yet this remains poorly known and explored.
